The purpose of this is to cover necessary repair expenses, up to the limit insured, to restore the aesthetic coherence that the damaged property had before the occurrence of the loss.
For example, following the repair of a faulty pipe, it is necessary to replace part of the stone floor tiles and some kitchen wall tiles.
In principle, the insurance company fulfills its function by repairing the damage and replacing the damaged tiles. If the insured is covered and it is not possible to replace exactly the same type of tiles, the insurer must provide a uniform aesthetic solution to the damage caused, within the economic limits foreseen in the policy.
